We are Red, Blue, and Independent North Carolinians from the Charlotte-Metropolitan area on a mission to promote Courageous Citizenship for the purpose of depolarizing America.
We believe that disagreement is not a problem to avoid, but a democratic muscle to exercise. In an age marked by polarization, outrage, and mistrust, our Alliance creates space for curiosity, humility, and genuine listening. Through workshops, debates, skills trainings, and social gatherings, we help community members learn how to speak their truth without hostility and hear others without surrendering conviction.
We are not here to change anyone’s mind; we are here to change the way we engage.

We believe all of us have blind spots and none of us are not worth talking to.
We see to disagree accurately, avoiding exaggeration and stereotypes.
We look for common ground where it exists and, if possible, find ways to work together.
We believe that, in disagreements, both sides share and learn.
In Braver Angels, neither side is teaching the other or giving feedback on how to think or say things differently.
